As I traveled the isles of Javits at today’s Toy Fair, I was stopped my my tracks.
These bald and beautiful Moxie Girlz & Bratz dolls are MGA’s new “True Hope” dolls. Like children in cancer treatment who receive beads of courage, each doll comes with their own beaded bracelete.
Recently 2 Mothers of children with cancer started an initiativ on Facebook calling for Bald and Beautiful Barbies. While Mattel did not take action, MGA was definitely listening.
These dolls are truly amazing on so many levels. Not only going to bring joy to children battling cancer– they are going to raise awareness to anyone who sees them in a poster or on a shelf.
What’s more is that for every “True Hope” doll sold, MGA is donating $1 to City of Hope, which is a leading research, treatment and education center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.
The “True Hope” Moxie Girlz and Bratz dolls (which include boy dolls), will be available in June, retailing for $14.99.
